How would I get a fixed/new one. I got it from flashipods4free, It doesn't work because I dropped it "i think", but They don't know that.. Should I take it to the store, I did this service request thing from the apple website, but I don't know about sending them my ipod -\ I've tried EVERYTHING to make it work like reseting, and letting it run out of batteries.
Thanks for help.

Doesnt an iPod come with a pretty good warranty? I would probebly just send it in or take it to the store, get a professional opinion.

Mine got the sad face icon, and folder. But I got it to work, hopefully it keeps on working. I called the apple support got mine from Freepay and they said the warranty ended a month ago ( so I can't even exchange it.

try reseting it by pressing MENU + "the center white circle"
that's how I solve most of my problems...
if that doesn't work and use the warranty P

haha, when you send it to apple, they can tell if you dropped it, because i called them about my iPod and the CSR said that the tech guys have pictures of what a scratched harddrive looks like.. and if you'r HD's scratched, you're outta luck, they wouldn't touch mine because of that.. (

these things break too easily
its apple's way of conning us.
smaller it is = more easier to break/lose = more profit

Not necessarily. The Nano is far harder to break than a regular iPod because it doesn't have a HD, and an ipod shuffle is even harder to break because it doesn't have a screen.

I second the Apple store.
You don't even have to tell them that you got it from Freepay/Gratis. Just go there, they'll take down the serial number of the iPod, then they will tell you if its still under warranty and for what remaining time.
A tip, go with a girl. I went by myself and they told me that my iPod was far too scratched for them to replace it. I went back about 2 weeks later with my girlfriend and they gave her a new one in about 5 minutes.
