As a matter of fact OSX is based on UNIX, with Linux and UNIX both being under the same family of operating systems called POSIX....

Damn, that is funny how Admin called you out like that, I actually laughed. It does annoy me that its "cool" to use linux.

I was going to switch to linux on my new system, but had trouble getting going on it. I installed it great and everything, but got tired of fiquireing out how to set up everything like i wanted. So i stuck to a cracked version on XP. I might go back and try it soon. I still have Fedora on a partition.

I suggest you find a cheap computer and run linux on it in addition to your main system. Start with the basics and slowly move all of your daemons from windows to linux, where they belong. That way you learn how shit works AND get more stable software, as well as freed up memory in windows. I run all kinds of servers on my 450mhz slackware box. It's really convenient.
