Is Adblock actually any good?

Also, where do you get yours from Admin?

Admin

I LOVE adblock. I have 472 filters running on it right now. I see maybe 2-3 ads per hour of web browsing. It blocks any kind of element, so I can block javascript text link boxes (eg. adbrite) as well as iframe text link boxes (eg. google adwords), plus I can block flash and a few other kind of embedded objects. if anyone wants to download and use it, here's my exported list of blocked sites
http//www.derheim.org81/~bos/adblock.txt

just get the extension here
https//addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=10

and import the text file.

p.s. i use the official mozilla site for extensions.

I couldn't live without adblock, I use it constantly. I've got over 1000 individual things blocked, as well as sitewide blocks for major ad distrobution centers.

It just opens IE with the current page, so yes, it does work for offers.

Anyone know if there is an extension for FireFox that can make you switch from one profile to another?

Or even use 2 different profiles at the same time?

that would be cool for a "family" environment lol

theysayjump

23-10-2005 19:07:37

Or a "wife" environment wink

Mozilla has it, but Firefox doesn't for some reason. shrug
