All of my music is correctly named by Band, Album, and Song Name in iTunes.

I'm trying to organize folders of bands, with CD name folders inside, with the MP3s being named "01 Song Name" etc.

iTunes is supposed to do this, however, it's not renaming the songs for me. It simply put them in the new folders.

I'd do it manually but I have 1000s of songs and it would take me forever.. are there any other programs that do this for you?

foobar2000 has a masstagger - i'm not sure if its included or a plugin - but it's very flexible and powerful. it'd probably do what you want.

If i understand you right, you not only want the tag to be correct, but too change the file name to a specified format. I have not seen any thing like this. Not really necessary in my opinion. If everything is tagged, and in the right folder, that is good enough for me.

http//www.foobar2000.org/
get the full version.

select files, right click, go to masstagger then click rename/move files.

should look something like that. easy to do what you're saying as long as your files are tagged.

I think they're tagged wrong, even though they're named right, because iTunes fucked up and changed a lot of names and duplicated a bunch of stuff and pissed me off like hell.
