I plan on selling my 2g 20GB iPod on eBay with the EVO iSkin i got for it seeing as how i never really use it and everything else so i can buy myself the new iPod or MAYBE the video iPod in time. Im gonna sell it WITH alllll couple thousand of songs on it as a sort of "incentive" in so when you buy it you get all of my music with it..if the person like what i listen to..i was wondering if theirs a downside to this..can i get screwed in anyway?

its illegal to 'sell' your music unless you actually PLAN to sell it and get rid of the original copies.

well, when they update the iPod with their computer....it would delete all the music, unless they used CopyPod or a similiar program. ?

Well you could manually put your own music on and they could use the iPodAgent or something like that to take it off and put it on their computer..but if the music is ON the iPod and i sell it, does that put me in any hole with the government or law or something like that

What you do is list it as a used harddrive, and you can say user is responsible for deleting any content left on it.
People do it all the time, and ebay says its ok.

I wouldn't sell it with the music on it. You are just asking for trouble. What if the person that buys it is a lawyer for the RIAA or something? Its just better to be safe than sorry...

for [b330f80c76a]295$[/b330f80c76a]

sometimes you run across people on ebay who arent too bright.... they see an item that is 250$ msrp and they pay 240$ +20$ shipping for the item on ebay. roll this type of thing usually happens with hot consumer electronics.....

Yeah with eBay sometimes you get lucky. Last Christmas I sold a 4th gen 20GB for almost $300. I was so confused why the person wouldn't want to just go online to the Apple store and get it for $300 from them...
