Okay so after I submit for approval I decided to get all my X-Files and Family Guy ready to go.. they're all in mpeg-4 and mpeg-3 format, and I went to add them, and they won't appear in iTunes..
What do I have to do to get my videos in iTunes?

Just add them as if you would add music. Then just click on the Video tab to see them. I have about 4gb of videos. Itunes 6 is alright.

PSP can only display a certain resolution cetain bit rate video file, and I am sure Ipod Video will be the same way. You will need to reencode your videos into the certain mp4 codex resolution and bitrate.

iTunes 6 looks the same as iTunes 5. What's the difference, other than video compatibility?

You can use winamp D. They have a plugin for ipods. I just recently downloaded itunes last night MISTAKE. Should have stayed away from it.

Winamp has the best ID tag changer. You should look into it, you can change it by groups and everything, and Winamp library is by far the best library out!

If you are talking about mp3, and not mpeg3 like most people mistake. Mp3 is STRICKLY AUDIO, mp4 is STRICKLY VIDEO. .avi,url==http://=http:///url .mpeg,url==http://=http:///url .mpg,url==http://=http:///url .ogm,url==http://=http:///url .mkm,url==http://=http:///url and there is many more, file extensions are just wrappers of audio and video. High quality releases have DD5.1 AC3 audio encoder with a XVID mp4 codex. For HDTV the highest you can get is .tsurl==http://=http:///url transport stream with DD5.1.
Anyway, you can have mp3 audio on movies and a lot of lower quality stuff does because it requires 10times less space then AC3 DD5.1.

i never knew what .tsurl==http://=http:///url was on all my hdtv shows and such. now i do.

I'm not talking about mp3 or mp4.
Just to let you know mp4 is not strictly video, it's the audio the iTunes Music Store uses.
Mpeg-3 is video and Mpeg-4 is video, they're two different types of file though? And iTunes will only take Mpeg-4.

I have never seen a mpeg-3 video, and wikipedia agrees with me that they are not around.
[code1887f5db456]MPEG-3 is the designation for a group of audio and video coding standards agreed upon by MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group). MPEG-3 was designed to handle HDTV signals in the range of 20 to 40 Mbit/s.
It was soon discovered that similar results could be obtained through slight modifications to the MPEG-2 standard. Shortly thereafter, work on MPEG-3 was discontinued.
MPEG-3 should not be confused with MPEG-1 Part 3 Layer 3 (or MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3), commonly referred to as MP3.[/code1887f5db456]
So unless you use a HDTV signal other then TS or Xvid like the rest of the community...

itunes only reads .mpgurl==http://=http:///url file names it looks like and exludes the .avi.url==http://=http:///url This could be to avoid piracy or something stupid APPLE like. Fuck itunes I hate this stupid ass program. This video player makes me go \ IRL
