I first heard of him about a year ago from a friend, checked out a few of his songs on iTunes and wasn't especially impressed by the short selections. Then, I missed him at Bumbershoot (I went the day after) and though, oh well. But about a week ago, I was listening to my friend's iPod during a free, and I heard "Put It In The Air" and loved it. I come home, buy that and "Get By" and now I'm hooked. I'd highly suggest you check his stuff out, its really unique

Blackstar is one of the best fucking albums of all time. (It's Kweli and Mos Def.)

your kidding me right. Talib has been around when you were still having your diapers changed and you want to inform us about his presence. Please go do some research on hiphop and come by with things 90% of this board may not know about.

Let me guess Jayz and Tupac have some good tracks as well.

I enjoy how at age 23, that you consider yourself the grandfather to everyone on this forum, and talk down to them.

In other news, I saw an elderly woman with a walker today wearing a pink t-shirt with rhinestones that spelled out HIP - HOP across the chest. I tried to get a picture, but I was too busy humming SugarHill Gang's Rapper's Delight and picturing "The Wedding Singer" grandma.

Talib Kweli is tight. Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Nas are some of my favoriterappers.

Mos Def is a great rapper one of the best IMO but the Blackstar album was NOTHING spectacular..
