I spent about 45 minutes putting together an image-less layout and decided to replace the homepage on my personal with it.
Any comments on http//www.goofygarber.net ?

I think he typed nonsense just to see how it looks. Too bad the google ads have to stay. So far so good, though.

I definitely like the clean, streamlined look. Keep it simple, I say.

All design programs give you the option to fill space with text - it's almost always in Latin.

Personally, I think it's a little bright. Too white. Maybe make more of a contrast between the background and main section. I'm going into web design, and want to start designing sites.

Agreed. Although I like the layout, some contrast would improve your layout.

Its a fun way to make some real money, especially if you can land a degree in computer science and a sub major in graphic design (haha, not a real couse unless you go to a bullshit school but some offer it as a sub class) and get picked up by a graphics firm out of collage.
If I ever find my old computer, I've got a whole folder with about 30 fully sliced and coded designs, all look way better than anything I've done recently... I guess I lost my creative edge.

I'm going to Devry right now, majoring in CIS, with a track in Web design. I think it would be great to get a steady job and do some freelance web design on the side.
