Hey, Im too lazy to get referals for a free iPod Nano, but instead I just did offers for cash via paypal. I ended up getting around $160 and I just used the rest from my bank account. I got the 4gb Black iPod Nano. Anyways, It said its being shipped today...

but theres somthing weird.... When I did the purchase it showed up in my credit card holds (normal) and of course it showed my posted balance, and avalable balance. Or somthing like that... Of course when I paid for it, I went down about $250... Well, I checked my balance last night, and it went back up? The purchase isnt showing up anywhere in my online banking. Its not in my credit card holds, and its not in my past payment. It shows no record of any purchase. And the iPod was already sent... Did I get it for free? Or will I get charged later?

Personally I wouldnt mind either way, either get the iPod totally free... Or just pay what I was paying in the first place... But of course the first one would be the one I would want better.

Rofl has this happend to anyone before? ?

lol The charge will show up later. It sometimes takes up to 3 business days for a charge to get posted.

lol its been more than that... i had the credit card hold for a few days, i made the purchase on the 4th, its currently the 9th, usually once the credit card hold is gone, it will show up in the transactions

Believe me, your credit card company isn't going to let one cent slip through their greasy hands. Since this is the weekend, I'd expect the charge to show up Monday or Tuesday.

no, im not thinking its an error from my bank account (debit card) i think apple like... forgot to charge me? i mean they send out 1000s of ipod a day... im not exactly sure of their method? but it could it be possible... because this is the first thing EVER to do somthing like this in my transactions... Ive used my debit card for over a year now, I use my card up to 5 times a day... this is the first ive seen...

and also just thought of this... literally i could just withdraw all my money, cancel the account, and just open a new account, and basicly get a new ipod for free...

True, but then they'd send your bill to bill collectors and your credit will be fucked.

v0h, that won't work. The bank will still see the pending charge and not let you close the account.

Personal Experience I paid my tuition for the fall semester of my Soph. year on my credit card, and it didn't show up for 5+ months...I was excited and thought there was some sort of billing error. Finally I receive a letter in the mail from my college stating that there was a problem with the online payment website, and ended up having to pay it "again." Needless to say I'm glad I kept the money around.

MadBiscuit im 16 so I have no credit

shamash there is no pending charge tho, its completely gone...

FreeOffersNow but theres kind of a difference... like, your going to college, they could stop you from going to school if you didnt pay "again" but with apple, they already sent the ipod... they couldnt take it back? you know

Oh, you certinally have credit; you just aren't aware of it. Any mishap, accidential charge will be reported, you don't need a credit card or any sort of thing like that for it to damage your chances of getting a home loan/credit card ectera.

He's not responsible for any companies that give him an open line of credit before he is 18. When he is 18 he can have his credit score reset and his record cleared. (I did, I had a bagillion unpaid BMG accounts, and a credit card before I was 18) Your sister's situation is kinda weird. Bounced checks (overdrafts on a debit card) do not get reported to credit agencies except in her situation when the default amount is sent to a collection agency. Even then, she didn't have to pay it all back in one sum, they would have worked out a payment schedule. And a month is not a long time to have an unapaid overdraft balance, either.

BTW, I'm not saying that you should think you won't have to pay should the charge show up in the future, I'm just recounting my experience with what should have been credit hassles

You could be unlucky like me and have the credit agency come for you AFTER you turn 18, even though the incident happened before then.

Keep the money around, better safe than sorry, right?

Take responsibility? I have a job, I have a car, I pay for gas, I pay for my cell phone bill, I buy all my food, I buy all my school clothes, I do take responsibility, but if I can get out of $250 ill stay out of it )
