The picture is fake - someone on Engadget recognized the image on the screen as the Toshiba Boot Screen.

Yeah, I knew it was from engadget and you weren't saying it was real. wink
Phew, kinda glad it was not a video ipod. Every time they come out with something new it downgrades my current stuff (20g color ipod> regular 20g ipod, nano >>> shuffle, new mac mini >> old). I was also hoping the video ipod would be done via firmware upgrade... It makes sense that they don't want to bring out another ipod and cannabalize when they're pushing the nano so much right now. I was in an apple store this past weekend and at least half the space was showing nanos.

apple has the technology to make whatever they want right now. they are slowing adding features to maximize the number of ipods u buy
they will add video than a few months later a new one with better video will come out. this is good for peolpe who just want an ipod cause old ipods are sold for cheap. the old 20gig is on amazon for 230$ i beleive and it comes with a itrip and 15$ itunes card

a lot of people have been disappointed with the 12". the screen doesnt get very bright and doesnt have the ambient light sensor. the keys arent backlit either.

Found some new Info!!!
According to New York Daily news, Apple Steve Jobs will launch Madonna version of ipod nano on october 12th. It will be pink and come with her albums like the U2 version.
