I signed up for this offer for freedesktoppcs on 9/21.
Tried calling them on 9/23 and it kept ringing until finally a machine picked up and said sorry we're closed please call during business hours 9am - 4pm.
So I sent customer service an email on 9/23 asking to cancel my membership.
On 9/25 my CC was charged $197.
Ive been trying to call but constantly get that machine. Any ideas on what I can do? Ohh.... and I still havent been credited after $200 evil

shock man thats awful just report to your credit card company fraud activity on your card
We don't talk about cancelling offers on the forums.
In addition, I had no problems getting a hold of them. You need to call in the morning to speak to someone. That's how I did it.

it's been at least 5 days for me and i haven't been credited (ipodnanos.freepay.com). i've also been charged $200.
i also had to email them after i signed up and was charged the $2.95 3-day fee, that i hadn't received any information on their site at all. all they did was send me a link with username/password.
it's just a listing of companies out there who do secret shopping. you can look up those sites for free on yahoo. but maybe i can get my $200 back by actually doing some secret shopping. god knows i need the money.
shouldn't have trusted the one positive remark i heard about this offer. grrrr
