Hello, I'm looking for a broken Linksys cable modem. The BEFCMU10 to be specific, I'll take one that's working too but I'd prefer it to be fried. http//www.xpcgear.com/lsbefcmu10.html Linksys makes another version that looks different, I don't want that one. I would pay $10 + shipping for a broken one, I know it's a crazy request but if anyone has one it would be of great help to me. Thanks for reading. While still on the topic of cable modems, if you have a D-Link DCM-202 and Comcast you need to install the 2.01 firmware to make it fully compatible.
Is that an easy one to uncap now or something?

From what I've read Surfboards are best for uncapping purposes. Older Motorolla Surfboards and GI Surfboards. The broken Linksys is for a project.
Yeah I have a Surfboard 4100. It was fun uncapping a few years ago, but the risks outweigh the benefits now.
