WARNING SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!

So, this week's episode. Personally I was a little dissapointed as the plot progressed [i7de1b587fa]very[/i7de1b587fa] little. Yes we found out new stuff - things I thought were interesting

li Walt receiving a POLAR bear from Michael. What is the connection between the bear and Walt?
li The food storehouse in the hatch. It's like a fallout shelter supply
li The shark in the sea. In case you didn't catch it, there was a close up for a second while it was swimming and the "symbol" was on its tail. Part of the security system
li The countdown timer in the hatch computer room. What does it countdown to? What happens if he doesn't enter the # sequence?

Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree I was a little disapointed. Next weeks episode looks really good though. I also thought it was corny the way Michael gave up his kid. His kid's mom just says, "let him go Michael", and he signs the paper. IMO, that would have just made a father more pissed off.

i just started watching lost this year b/c last year got me so mad for never anwsering anything ever, I will get a screen shot of the shark image if you want. There is alot more going on then i thought i did not look into as much as you did. How pissed would you be if this was all someones dream. lol

I thought it was pretty gripping. I'm kind of dissapointed that the writers are creating so many others on the island... but I guess its the only way to explain the sickness.

Personally I think Walt creates animals when hes scared. Didn't he create a dead bird or something at his apartment in Australia... That would explain the polar bear. It was probably his favorite stuffed animal as a child. Could also explain why the others want him so bad.

I missed the shark symbol thing. Could the computer system control the security system somehow? Too many new questions.

I think the entire raft part of the episode was very well done, Michael and Sawyer play well off of each other.

About as pissed I was when JJ made 2 years of Sydneys life disappear on Alias and as pissed as I'm going to be when they kill off Vaughn. But I don't ever underestimate him anymore.

See the writers are so smart they anwser alot of things but then open more things to be asked, this will happen for years tell they dont have the views then they will sum it all up or something.

Alias looks so shitty. I can't get into that new Invasion show either.

Now I guess the question is, who was that guy waiting for in the hatch?

Jack maybe? He didn't seem surprised to see Jack at all but he obviously recognized him.

Alias used to be a lot better than it is. I expect Lost to be all screwed up in 2 years as well though. But I'm still a fan.

!!!!!!!! THE Hatch... the basis of the last 15 episodes of lost.

I sometimes wonder if the writers even know how they are going to wrap everything together. Have they known from the beginning or will they just get to it when they get to it...

It seemed like this episode was maybe 50% new content

This episode did kinda blow but it seems like next week it really gets going. They should've just had a 2-hour season premeire. And for all that don't have TiVo, here is the symbol on the shark's tail...

Its a different symbol than the Dharma one...

Godrockdj

29-09-2005 12:13:48

Yes, the symbol is the same as the one on Desmond's jumpsuit.

But wow, I loved Sawyer last night. They really showed he has a good heart underneath his gruff exterior. And it wasn't cheesy, either. The whole digging the bullet out of your own arm - ICK! Then he turns to Michael "Got a band-aid?" LOL

bballp6699

29-09-2005 12:15:18

What I'm not understanding is, is Desmond hiding from these guys as well or is he a one of them?

I know this wasn't explain, but what do you think?

Desmond is definitely not one of the plane crash survivors. Beyond that, we have no real proof of what he is exactly doing there. There are theories that he is there monitoring the "sick" and "quarantined" people outside of the hatch. I might be inclined to believe that, but need to see a few more episodes before I can fully support that theory.

bballp6699

I knew he wasn't a survivor. I didn't know if he was with the guys that stole Walt or not.

The others? I don't think so either. It seems as if he hasn't left that hatch for years. We're dealing with a few groups of people now

1. The known survivors
2. The others (seen when kidnapping Walt)
3. Danielle
4. Desmond
5. Newly found survivors on the other side of the island

the island was there because of walt i think, they need him for some reason. the sequence is for a shutdown system, i think, that if he doesne enter that then something is wrong and they come and get him, like if that guy runs out of food or something. for the next episode there was a wierd thing where these guys are coming to get them, i think they came to see whats going on (they are with the guys down there)

you sure about the shark? thats wierd

If the whole show was centered around this kid having super powers, I think I would shoot the writer.

I think the island makes you go crazy. Walt is a key but it could just be the others are just nuts. Here is a cap of the symbol on the shark...

[admin edit before you waste your time reading this, you should know that it is 100% bullshit]

From an email I just got - A long but fascinating read

[id68634daa9]I recently found an interesting naturally occurring theory found in
our world that states everyone has a mirror image somewhere in the
world. You may have heard of this. Its called Rousseau's genetic
mirror theory, and I must say it is very interesting. Rousseau's
genetic mirror theory says that everyone in the world has an exact
twin somewhere, however according to the theory you never encounter
this person, by laws of probability and other natural occurring
phenomenon. Its the theory that was devised by a French Mathematician
named Marseille Rousseau in the year 1988. He used a series of numbers
to explain his theory. Now I know you're not going to believe this but
here goes.

4 8 15 16 23 42

Let me explain...
The 4 stands for 4 degrees of separation (not 6 or 7 as commonly
stated.) Rousseau believed that everyone in the world was connected by
four different people. So in theory could meet yourself by using four
different people connected to you. Example Your brother's, boss's,
neighbor's nephew, knows your mirror. Hard to believe, I know but keep
reading.

The 8 stands for the eight continent, or the only place in the world
where you could meet your mirror. He calculated it to be somewhere in
the south pacific. Now we know its not actually as large as the other
continents but its used figuratively because everyone in all 7
continents could meet there mirror on the 8th universal continent.

The 15 stands for the chances of you actually meeting yourself on this
place, as in 15 out of 4,815,162,342. Look at the second set "815."
Ring any bells? Flight number. Interesting huh?

The 16 stands for the maximum amount of people that could encounter
their twin all at the same time. Think about the number of main
characters on the show.

The 23 is the number of years apart your twin and yourself are. You
are not the same age as your twin. By chance and probability it takes
23 years exactly for the same genes that made you to be connected
again to form another you.

The 42 stands for the maximum number of years your twin and yourself
can be alive at the same time. However people do die at different
times so that's why everyone isn't dead at 75. For example my twin was
born on Sept. 6 2003 because I was born on Sept. 6 1980. Now that
doesn't mean I will die in the year 2045, I could, but its not set in
stone. My twin could die when he is 16, and then the whole thing
starts over again.

This is all very complicated and I don't know how well I explained it
but the connections with the show are too coincidental to not be real.

Rousseau and his team (wife, included) went to the 8th continent. You
can figure out how they died and why by the numbers and equations. It
also fits with every character. You can predict when they will die.
There are "others" on the island who are twins of the survivors, but
have been there 23 years longer.[/id68634daa9]

Sorry to edit godrock but it's a long read to find out that it's horseshit. It was someone's idea of a hilarious joke, and frankly I find it funny as well.

FINALLY, i got to watch the episodes from the new season. I had downloaded season 1 and it took me a while to watch it all. But i just watched both episodes of season 2 tonight.

Do you think Desmond was brought to the island during his "race around the world?"

Wolfeman

29-09-2005 23:00:21

I think the race was a lie. Now the real question is [i87e323d991]who[/i87e323d991] brought him there...
