i already looked on ratetheoffers.com and there was only 1 rating.

has anyone done the comcast internet offer?
what does the rate per month jump up to after the $19.99/mo for 3 months?
and the $75 cash back? how does that work?

i've been considering going from DSL to comcast for a while now, and this might actually be a worthwhile offer for me.

any input would be appreciated.
TIA

Stay with DSL, cable costs too much.

I agree, even tho I use cable

however comcast IPs are always banned on games and shit >|

so i have to open AOL for Broadband to change my IP, and it puts my internet speed in 1/2

Comcast Ip's are always banned on games...? You are assigned a singular, static IP on cable =\
Its not the same as anyone else in the world

don't get comcast, ive had it for almost 2 years now and im getting rid of it
the only time i was every happy with it was when i called to complain and they gave me 3 months for $19.99 - before/after that it was over $45/month

my Yahoo! DSL is getting connected today and im kicking comcast to the curb... their customer service is pretty bad too

im getting DSL for $14.95/month for a year, plus a $50 best buy gift card

That was my problem. The first IP I had was fine, but like 6 months later, after a power outage, it changed, and suddenly I was banned on quite a few muds >| They recycle the smallest amount of IPs that they can amongst customers.

well, i have a phone line and dsl which equals a bill of $53/mo
i was considering calling comcast to see if they'll give us a deal on cable internet/tv together, since we already have tv through them.
i've also considered calling up DSL and asking for the $14/mo deal, threatening to go to comcast.

not sure what to do, but i probably shouldn't do the comcast offer though.

I recently signed up for comcast high speed internet and digital cable and i got a pretty solid deal. I get both services, hbo, and all that on demand stuff for $52/month. If you talk with them for awhile you can usually get a smooth bargain. of course the taxes are shit though

$52/mo for cable and internet is better than the
$54 for cable
$53 for internet/DSL
we're paying now

i'll have to haggle.
thanks!

Wow nice price. I pay 50 a month just for Charter high speed. I would kill to be able to get DSL so I could also afford a land line.

When you call up to activate you can usually get them to give you 6 months for 19.95. After that time is up, you can probably get them to give you a bundle price since you also have cable. The $75 rebate is pretty simple, you have to mail in the rebate form and the first month's bill (or first and second, I forget). They come in about 2 months or so after you mail it out. At $20/month, cable internet is a steal compared to DSL. Even at $42.95 which is what i'm paying now, it's a good deal, since the lowest priced DSL around here is $25 for 256kbps/128kbps, $32.95 for 1.5mbps/256kbps, or $42.95 for 3mbps/384kbps (these speeds are also depending if you live near the CO, the more you're away from the CO the less speed you'll get), compared to comcast's 6mbps/384kbps.
