Yup the ribbons are made in China. Probably the ones that are all over that say Ban W as well. China has are balls in a vice grip when it comes to selling us very cheap dispensible products. Just wait til they start selling us electronics.

You can make the damn ribbon as far as I care. The whole point of the support our troops ribbon, to me at least, is to say that no matter how stupid the war in Iraq is, we aren't going to underfund the human lives over there so that they begin dying in Vietnam like numbers. I wasn't alive in 1968 but I can point out the gravest difference between then and now. When a soldier comes home from Iraq he isn't getting dirt kicked in his face and called a baby killer because he followed orders.

Unless its that one guardsmen bitch torturing Iraqi soldiers in Abu Ghraib.

I'm sorry, to go into it like this but you don't seem to understand the underlying importance of that ribbon campaign.

There is no underlying importance. Its the biggest joke in the world. Rich, white, subburban house wives by cheap magnets to "support our troops" and slap them on the same gas-guzzling SUVs that make this area of the world so important to us and force us into situations like this. If there was no oil, we wouldn't care (i.e. Africa)...

Well than maybe that underlying importance I just explained is a frame of mind and not everyone that places a ribbon on their car feels that way, but don't knock everyone for doing it because I just explained in great detail a pretty damn good reason to put a ribbon on your car.

If there was no oil we wouldn't care... I agree with you 100% on why we are in Iraq. But the fact is we are there and many troops who signed up for the infantry because it was a paying job are stuck over there and need to get some support anywhere they can from us at home.

So while your left hand is saying "Fuck Bush, Get us the hell out of Iraq" let your right hand say "Support our troops"
