I don't create many new topics but after the one about Muse was made I had to do this.
Kings of Leon is an up and coming band that kicks some major ass. If you haven't heard of them you have to check them out. They have 2 CDs out called "Aha Shake Heartbreak" and "Youth & Young Manhood"
If you listen to any of it gimme your input. I don't usually plug bands but these guys need to be known. Also there is 1 song that most of you will know from an iPod commercial too.

Yeah, one of their songs is in a veedub commercial too. They're pretty well liked up here in Boston, and they were well-reviewed by Spin and others.
Another good band to check out is The Arcade Fire. The Canadians here probably know them (as the band if from Montreal), but they're really just starting to take off in the States. Their only full-length album is called Funeral.

I'm definitely serious, I'm a big fan!
Try some Millbrook (a bit Rufus Wainwright) if you haven't. Great stuff.

If you can get ahold of the Shores & the Plains, that's a good one.
http//cdbaby.com/cd/millbrook has some clips.
Theysayjump, try Damien Rice if you haven't (http//www.damienrice.com)
Don't know if anyone here is a fan of trip hop, but Daughter Darling is pretty amazing... http//www.daughterdarling.com/mp3/brokenbridge.mp3
And of course there is Rasputina (rasputina.com), which is getting more mainstream.

Sounds like a good band. Arcade fire is a good choice I agree. but they had like 5 singles on xm's ethel station so I'm assuming they've been getting mainstream FM radio play in the states for a while now.
