Starting up a site like this

Im starting a Free iPOD Guide Site.
its called [coming soon]

I dont need referals anymore but its mainly for people that want to advertise their referal link. I have a question for the admin (Can I put these forums as a frame on my site).

Im gonna do some hardcore marketing. It is underconstruction , but should be pretty sweet when finished. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions? Also, if anyone wants to help out, I wouldnt mind splitting the profits eventually.

Instead of putting this forum in frames, why don't you just link to it and put "Forums at FreeiPodGuide.com" as the link title. Then you aren't screwing anyone over. And it's not like you're pretending they are your forums which is what it would be if you put it in a frame with your own link bar or title or whatever.

I liked the contracting site. It serves it purpose and it looks nice. It would be hell for someone who doesn't have flash and is on a 56k. If I were the creator of that site than I would probably make it normal with lots of functionability and less flash because those contractors want to reach all people for a better profit, not just the ones with flash.

Maybe the Admin was implying that it wasn't very practicle more than the design.... But he did mention that the design was hideous. I don't think it's bad though.

Yeah, there is a little thing called respect but it doesn't mean you're entitled to any. You were going to use HIS FORUMS and frame it (framing is so '97 BTW) in your site. WTF is that? You're not showing him any respect by doing that are you?

I won't say that contracting site is hideous, but it has a lot of ridiculous animation. After all that BS is finished, I end up with something that could be done with HTML/Javascript. The images/graphics don't don't look very clean either. Those gallery clips are terrible. It also took a while to load too for no reason. I am one of the reviewers for the webbys.

Frames... whoa. People still use those? I think you should put in a flashing blinking marquee and maybe some flying unicorns in a frame too.

Im really good with marketing so I think I can pull it off. I know there are a lot out there, but a lot of them look like shit, Im just going to make one that looks really good, has a shit load of content, and eventually a shit-load of traffic. lol. Im gonna try. It doesnt hurt.

I hope you have a unique idea. Because just because it looks good doesn't mean people will want to use it. I'm not trying to flame you I'm just saying.
