Im being evacuated from my house tommarow or thursday from this new Hurricane in the Gulf. I live in the southeast side of houston, in a suburb. Kinda sux, but I will be bringing my computer along to the hotel with high speed internet ;). They start mandatory evacs Thursday at Noon, kinda crazy coming right after Allision.

They had to ship all 2-3 thousand Allision evacs from the astrodome to Arkansaw.

Yea...its a shame, really. My family lives in Orlando and my mother was just telling me how people are trying to scam the red cross, insurance companies, etc. by claiming that they were vicitims of Katrina (

People are so dishonest...

Friendswood is where I live, near Pearland and Alvin, next to Galveston too. Rich community we have a pretty good high school band / athletic team in the area ).

I feel no regret scamming insurance companies. You pay thousands towards there policies, and when you actually get hit you better get all your stuff back + some, no stupid deductibles. Claiming you where a victim is a little differant though. My grandma went through Allision and my old p1 computer turned into a 2000$ p4 Dell overnight, and translocated ).

How do they make it a mandatory evac?
Do they enter each house to make sure no one is left behind?

Are you above or below sea-level?

Above by like 8 feet I think, and they make it a mandatory evac by saying it is. I dont think they will actively enforce it, but who knows. We have to leave by 6pm today, because they shut down all roads not I45 out of houston. And we have to leave by one or make a shit load of back tracking. Im pushing to get my computer to come with me, and my truck, but my mom doesnt want it.

And you know why you pay "thousands towards [their] policies"? Yea...yea...its probably because of people scamming them. All you're doing is perpetuating the system...no one wants to think about anything economically...just the quick buck (

You'll see.
