Man, I think that looks terrible. How could you play a video game using a remote like that? I think nintendoes innovation just shot themselves in the foot.

Well, the controller senses movement of itself, so it is actually pretty awesome.

did you watch the video? totally inovative and totally the future of gaming.

Think how much more fun it would be to swing your controller instead of just pressing a when you play zelda. Or playing a shooting game and actually having full control aiming.

I would get a revolution over all other systems for this reason alone

but thanks to gratis I can get them all

i would rather get this than XBOX 360

I love the brand names of Nintendo like the Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games

Meh, no thanks. Innovative? I guess, seems a little to gimicky if you ask me. I would get it, and give it to my 6 year old cousin.

It's more innovative than sony and microsoft

new processor

same controller - oh wait they stole the wireless feature that nintendo popularized with the wavebird the first good true wireless controller.

Plus free revolution has online wifi, and access to all 20 years of nintendos games, im sure it will be the cheapest system too.

I love halo, but this looks like more fun

i thought the remote lookalike attachment was the entire controller at first lol but after seeing the top pictures things make more sense now..... There is probably no revolution freesite because there is no relaible ETA for the Revolution launch./ How would you like to get 8 greens and have a free site say they'll ship in a year and a half lol

the remote is the entire controller, the controller part of it is an attachment for old school games and games like madden.

exactly, so do you have to buy the controller thing seperate? If so this is nintendo's last console.

As a note, the first picture listed in this thread is just a mockup made by IGN. I thought it was real at first too until I noticed that I missed the paragraph after it

[quoteb335e5131f]Nintendo has not yet released official imagery of what the controller shell might look like. However, we've created a mock-up (above) based on what we know of its functionality. The real controller shell is likely to connect to the free-hand-style pointer in a very similar fashion. Please note that we realize our model is not entirely to scale, but this is the best we could do on short notice.

It's gonna be awesome...you're gonna be able to download all the old Nintendo games. From NES - N64. I think they cost money though (

There definately should be a freepay for this..

Blink182=Gone

19-09-2005 19:06:43

yea, all those controller features and accessories may look good to some people but Nintendo always includes bogus features that almost every developer DOES NOT use. (Thinking of the microphone feature on the DS (1 or 2 games support it fully), and all that bogus "online plug-in crap" for the GC, that nobody ever used, etc....

I don't know, maybe I'll be wrong....

well, there will prolly be a freepay for this but obvioulsy not for a loooong time.

Yes, the reason this will be big will be the downloadable games. They will make tons off of games that have already been developed and people will be willing to rebuy them.

I'm holding off on the Xbox360 just for this. I hope they get it out soon enough and don't charge too much for the old games. My guess is they will be priced $15-$25 with special bargains to buy Mario sets and Mega Man sets and such.

Gratis is Gratis, of course they'll have a revolution site when the time comes

I think the controller will be totally awesome and maybe change how games are played. But Nintendos games always suck. They are geared toward younger people and people that don't play alot of video games. XBox rules because of all the games geared toward guys in their late teens and 20's. Violent shooter games and such. But if they republished Goldeneye for the Revolution, i would have to get one.

true but they keep getting better. Look at the gamecube

you have metroid prime, one of my favorite games ever. Also Resident Evil remake, and RE4 which kicked total ass. Don't forget Eternal Darkness, and all the other cool innovative games they came out with. They keep making steps in the right direction, sure they dont sell bundles like ps2 but I always find nintendo's games are the most worthwhile I play.

Super Smash Brothers Melee was the funnest game of last generation of games
