I want to allow people to have access to one folder on my computer, for example c/program files/my music. So I'd give them a link, they would click it and then see the contents of the folder and be able to drag files out onto there desktop. Can anyone help me with this?

Serv-U is a decent ftp program. its pretty easy to set up if you know anything about networking.

It shouldn't be a bid deal if you don't have a router...if you have a router it gets a little more messy

then all you should have to do is find a free ftp server program and go through their recommended set up, and you should be able to accomplish that.

BulletFTP is really easy to setup. You have to forward your router to 21 though for FTP.

So, you don't know anything about networking or setting up an FTP, but you know about running apache servers....?

My little brother could set up apache, and hes in like 7th grade or some shit. It's seriously easy. You have to know like, your IP and how to forward a port, that's it.

Ditto. Bullet is the best ftp server software I've ever used.
