I know what you mean man, in high school i was in the same situation. One girl I asked out to prom said yes but the whole prom didn't care that I was there. Believe me, in college, you'll find every girl type there is and chances are good that one of them are for you. The ones you can get are probably not worth going for, or if you do go for them you'd probably break up within weeks/months

The ones that are worth getting dont want to have a relationship yet, for whatever reason.

Anyway, this girls sounds like she has a lot of insecurities. Just explain to her that if and when she is ready to go steady, or whatever you crazy kids are calling it these days, to let you know.

Also, I've been on the other side of the fence where my guy friends wanted to date me and I didn't feel the same way. I was completely unable to express to them that I was uninterested without hurting them until I was in college. To be a girl and to have these guys who you just want to hang out with always telling you they like you can get intense.

Then again, I never flirted (although, I had one friend who took everything the WRONG WAY). For example, I was friends with two guys. One of them had NO feelings for me romantically, and the other did. I gave the un-interested friend hugs and stuff because I KNEW he wasn't interested. I avoided contact and flirtatious behavior with the other because I didn't want to give him the wrong idea. What happened? He took THAT to mean I had a thing for him!! Where did he get that idea????

My overall point is, sometimes girls play games and sometimes guys just don't get it. COMMUNICATE! It'll save you a LOT of time in the long run, and when you get to college? Women love [b691786fc42]men[/b691786fc42] who can communicate. ;)

Here's a piece of advice from a kid who's "been around the block" with highschool girls.

Act like an asshole, and they will love you.
Show them an ounce of chivalry, and they WILL treat you like a doormat.
