most the time they will not ask for id, all they need is a credit card but if you look really young i am sure they will card you. I think your okay as long as you dont look young and you have a credit card.

Just book it online. When you get to the main desk usually all they ask for is the CC you used and that's all. But that's just my experience.

The Hilton only asks for ID and credit card to hold the room. They do card. I've only stayed in those rooms, but they're usually for visits to theme parks and such.

When I was 18 I went on a tour with my band across the western American states, we stayed in everything from a motel 6 to a hilton homewood suites and never had a problem with ID. Just remember, whenever they ask you how many are staying in the room say 1. That's how you get the cheapest rate.

Credit card only? Do hotels generally accept debit cards too? What's the difference to them...?

I'm going to be 20 soon and travelling in a few months, but I don't have a credit card...

I'll be staying at an Econo Lodge (if they let me I guess roll), and you only have to be 18.

You dont even need a cc for econolodge. Theyll accept cash. CC's are really needed for exp hotels that provide other services for you to be billed for. Towels and robes in room, bar cart service, and room service. Most lodges and inns just accept cash and you may have to leave a cash deposit.

Now that I rememebver I stayed at a Marriot courtyard with just cash. They made me put down another 100 in cash as a deposit but I didnt need a cc

Thanks, that's good to know. I didn't want to have to get a credit card just for that.

Youll be fine. These places realize not everyone has a cc or in some instances you may max out a card. They need to provide means to those unable to get a room with credit.

if your young they usually require a cc incase you trash the room
