I'llI need some airfare. Cheap's the name of the game!
The person who finds the best deal gets a donator spot or a custom title or something.
Departing SNA, LGB or LAX on Thursday or Friday to arrive at PDX
Arriving SNA, LGB or LAX on Monday or Tuesday from PDX
Best I could find was $311 with fees, roundtrip. Can anyone beat that?

Well if you felt like driving up by me in San Jose, it's $263, but gas prices would make it same or more then $311. So I think you're best deal is the $311

FWIW, I did find a pretty good deal
www.site59.com has last-minute fares with which you MUST purchase a hotel.
I found a 3 day trip (friday morning till monday morning) which is a little shorter than I wanted to stay for ~$415 with three nights at a three diamond hotel with a kingsize bed. Which is a pretty darn good deal all things considered.
I couldn't tell if it was going to work or not, but there's a $25 off coupon on fatwallet for that site, which would have made it an even better deal (compared to the $311 deal, that's about $27/night for the hotel).
