Here's how I see it.

AFC 6 Playoff Teams
Denver
New England
Tennessee
Indianopolis
Baltimore
Oakland

NFC 6 Playoff Teams
St Louis
Washington
Philadelphia
Detroit
Dallas
Tampa Bay

AFC Champ
Tennessee over Denver

NFC Champ
Washington over St Louis

Super Bowl
Washington over Tennessee

Washington?

They are like my second favorite team, but superbowl bound?
Who did they pick up this year to make a SB possible?

their defense is still tops in the league and they immediately fixed some of their kinks on offense by trusting Ramsey going in. they won't need to score many points with their defense so as long as the 1st offensive unit clicks, they're my sleeper team.

If the Lions could get everything working together, they'd be a hell of a threat. They've got weapons all over the place, but they're running like an engine whose cylinders aren't firing at the right timing.

Though given Detroit's past with other sports championships... if the Lions won a Superbowl in Detroit, I think the people would burn the city down. I plan on taking a few days off of work, and taking a long weekend to get the hell away from Detroit that weekend.

It's amazing... I love how loyal our fans are. Even with the record we have every season, almost all the games sell out within 10 minutes of going on sale.

the bucs are gonna take it, or at least make it to the super bowl. With greese and the receives really clicking, and the addition of cadillac williams, our offense is gonna be up there. As long our D plays like it should we will be playing in the playoffs.

DEEEETROOIT BAS...er...FOOOTBALLL....if we actually make it to the superbowl...the city WILL burn...i mean they start us off early at MSU with riots and fires...reference back to the 84 tigers... the hockey and basketball champs do not equate well but i do remeber running down woodward in royal oak after the wings won a few years back

stroid ...i agree with you...atlanta is going to be tough this year...but they have prolly one of the toughest first half schedules this year...they start off with Philly on monday night, the seahawks, the vikings, and new england in the 1st 5 weeks...the rest of the year isnt that bad but they go to detroit on thanksgiving...which detroit seems to pull out year in and year out and some tough conference games...carolina and tampa twice each.

I think atlanta is superbowl bound this year we just gotta get past phillie id say they are our toughest match this year.

Clearly they're not as strong as last year, especially on defense but they still have the stuff to win.

Hah...Falcons beat the Vikings? Easily? Wishful thinking, but not very realistic. Take a look around ESPN for the NFL preseason power rankings...Vikings are seated at #4. Our off-season pick-ups on the dark-side of the ball are HUGE...not to mention we had one of the better drafts in the NFL.

We should have a preseason "bet" on who can predict the Superbowl winner. I'm not saying actual money persay but ie like winner gets a Donator icon or something original, i'm sure you guys have better ideas than me. Just to lively things up a bit for an exciting season.

Wow, I only read the first, but there's quite a bit of homerism going on.

wtf? Eagles?!?! have you HEARD what's goin on with mcnabb and owens? what are you thinking? they might lose in the first round IF... they make it to the playoffs ;) don't kid yourselves.
it's gotta be Patriots or Colts... Colts gotta come thru this year (although it's not lookin good early w/Payton)

Stroid The thing is, the NFC is still overall gonna get beat up on by the AFC in the reg season again. If you noticed, I predicted all the NFC wild cards coming from the NFC East, meaning only the division winner NFC South will make the playoffs. Honestly, I see TB, Atlanta, and Carolina all at the top of the division with a weak 8-8 or 9-7 mark and only 1 team gets in due to tie-breakers. So, this year, I pick Tampa Bay because they fixed a few kinks on offense.

As much as I love the Packers, they'll make playoffs, but probably not the Super Bowl. I think this year, the Colts will finally get over the hump.

Playoff teams

NFC
Eagles
Falcons
Packers
Rams
Vikings
Cowboys

AFC
Patriots
Steelers
Colts
Chargers
Bengals
Chiefs

Super Bowl Eagles vs. Colts

Winner Colts
