Well, I usually buy Ritek DVD-R 50 spindels off newegg, but I have this $20 Best Buy card leftover from Christmas that I might as well use up. Have any of you had good experiances with any of the following or maybe a suggestion? Doesn't HAVE to be -r... That's just usually what I use.

I have used verbatim and they worked ok for me. i always try to use ritek too. The prices and quality can't be beat. Go buy a movie or cd at best buy.

My advice, if you found a brand that works stick with it. Unless you have a good dvd burner. Cause in terms of DVD media lot of drives are picky. Especially -R

NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG is the burner.

Never heard of them. Fuju Film is having a 30% off sale today. So I might pick up the 50 pack for $19.99.

The FUJI 8x DVD+Rs that are made in Japan are Taiyo Yudens (pretty much the best). You can check on the labels to see if they're made in japan or Taiwan. Get those if you're going to buy stuff at BB. Not sure how their DVD-Rs are though.

I was just going to recommend the Fuji 8x DVD+/-R, but make sure you look on the label first and make sure they are "Made in Japan" as hehe mentioned. Taiyo Yudens are some of the best media you can buy. The DVD-Rs are just as good if you can verify their made in Japan. Also, I'm an active member of a dvd burning forum and there are 2 people dedicated to patching firmware for NEC 3500 where you can overspeed lots of media. Let me know if you're interested.

The 3500 can burn almost any media. It's considered to be one of the best burners out there. Don't limit yourself to DVD+R unless your DVD player can't play other formats.
