I cancelled my aol trial near the end of it. Called up and argued with the guy until he said okay, your account will now be canceled. Everything seemed fine. Now i'm being charged for the next month of this crap. I called up to argue and they said there is no record of me canceling. They said they can't give me a refund. This sucks.

i just got a letter from them today after changing my account status on monday, saying that they are glad im continuing with their service and if i would like to cancel i have to fill out the form on the back of the letter and send it in, otherwise they will keep my account open.

Why aren't you guys writing down/recording your cancellation numbers? If you're not getting one from AOL, then you haven't canceled your account.

EXACT same thing happened to me. I called my credit card company, said I do not authorize these charges, 2 weeks later, it was refunded )
