Is there a program out there that will count how many of a certain letter is in a text file? Say, for example, that I want to know how many L's there are in a text file. Is there a program that can tell me this?

can't think of one on the top of my head, but if you know c++ or java, it'd be really easy to make a program yourself.

lol, I'll give that a try. Hopefully my one year of high school programming will be enough.

Open it in Word, then do replace 'l' with whatever you want, and do replace all. When it's done it should say '29 words were replaced' or something like that so you'll know you have 29 l's.
