Wtf is up with people charging insane shipping rates on a $.01 auction. It doesnt cost $16 to ship a friggin linksys switch, it doesnt even weigh a pound. Has anyone else noticed ebay sucks for any item unless its something mainstream like a psp or ipod.

they do it because ebay doesnt charge fees on your shipping price.. thats why you see so many dollar auctions with $15 shipping.. because the seller only has to pay a fee on the $1.

Yeah, I hate that. When I was looking for the earbuds that come w/ the ipod they had some for like .01 and ridiculous shipping. And the damn things are free!
I also hate it when I try to buy something off of LJ and these 16 year old girls that have never sold something try to add the paypal fee to the price of what I want to buy. How the hell am I responsible for that?

i charged someone $15 for shipping my psp and i ended up paying $25 for them to pack it as well because i didnt have any boxes and was rushed so stop your bitching.

if the going rate for ipods on eBay is around $180 shipped, you can buy one that costs $180 + free shipping, or you can buy one that costs $100 + $80 shipping for the exact same product
never ever complain about shipping on eBay, it is all relative to the final bid price anyway............

It all depends on the weight.. Im not sure how much an x-box weighs.. But heres just an example, Im shipping an iPod soon (2 lbs).. it only cost me $8.15 and thats with the $4.20 insurance.. insurance is a little expensive, but definitley worth it.

Maybe you guys should just investigate how much it will cost to ship and then put the accurate price on the auction and not just pull out random prices out of your butt. And it is okay to charge for boxes and stuff b/c it is called [b41e7738670]shipping & handling[/b41e7738670] but I refuse to believe that it costed someone like 8 bucks for a box when shipping was 35 cents.
