I always thought it was a good idea to end the auction on or around a payday 1st or 15th and or a friday. If it's a friday I usually end it around 2-3pm cst.

Any ideas what might work better?

I've never sold anything on eBay, but I'm glad I read this... good ideas to consider.

I usually try to end it late afternoon/early evening on friday or mid afternoon on sunday.

I just put mine up whenever. I really don't care when they end. I don't put too many auctions up in the first place though.

i always had mine end at the weekend or at times of the day when people wouldnt have to wait up all night, or when theyd be at work.

if its the weekend, i think about whether people will be out, or if its sunday i think about whether they will be with family or whatever.

if its during the week then you dont want people having to stay up till 3am to see if they won, especially if they have work the next day.

id say mid afternoon (2-3pm) on a saturday, 8pm on a sunday, and about 8-10pm on a weekday.

but my logic usually only makes sense to me and nobody else, so make of it what you will D

i always try to end mine sometime on sunday because thats when the most bids on ebay occur.

That's what I do as well. For example, I have some lovely offer pills up right now that will be ending on sunday. And they are doing surprisingly well! Especially My Daily Dose P

Good to know, I'll do my next auctions on Sunday and 7 day them.

Does anyone know if there is a feature to ensure only people with confirmed paypal addresses bid on your auction?

lately i've been putting my auctions up for 3 days... coz 7 days is just too long and pretty much everyone bids towards the last 1-2 days... o and i usually end them at about 9-11pm weekends.

If you're patient your auction will get more views the longer it is up.

yeah, but judging by my buying habits that doesn't matter much... when i shop for stuff i either look for "buy it now" items or auctions that end within 2-3 hours, coz again that's when the REAL bidding war begins twisted

Its true a lot of people bid on stuff in the last couple hours, but a lot of them also bookmark auctions ending in a couple days and then come back to bid on them. So if you leave your auction up longer you'll probably get more bidders.
