haha... and you came to FIPG for that information.

Did your dentist / oral surgeon not talk to you at all?

Aw man I loved getting my teeth taken out. The stuff you put you on is so fun! I was listening to my cd player and one second it was on track 3 next it was on track 12. I watched Dr. Strangelove and don't remember a thing of it.

i ate solid food the next day (all 4 taken out, no stitches) but I had to chew with my front teeth. realistically though, since I didnt have stitches, it took a little over a week before it was fully healed. But you can certainly eat solid food anytime before that, it's just a bit difficult.

Also, if u didn't get stitches like me, you'll have food going into the holes where the roots for the teeth were, so u have to constantly rinse your mouth before you sleep otherwise you may get infected? Something like that

good luck.. getting your wisdom teeth out is not a great experience.. the problem isnt the actual surgery, but afterwards. the soreness sucks. i remember not eating solid food for a day or two.. then finally eating some mac n cheese and that sort of stuff with my front teeth. be careful.. dont put your tounge on the area of the missing tooth.. if you fuck up that clot you're in deep shit.

Yeah, be careful in the beginning. Dry Socket sounds miserable and you have to go back in.

You can actually search this forum for "wisdom teeth" and will come across a few experiences.

I had 3 of my 4 pulled a month or two ago (first one was a year ago), and it took about 3 days before I could start to eat real food again.
NOTE Jello != Real -P

Be sure to avoid smoking cigarrets (or crack for that matter) as you might develop what is commonly known as dry socket.
The liquid stiches usually take 4-8 days to disolve. But once they are gone you are usually 80% or better.

yeah I got a dry socket so be careful. Everything was fine until that.

I can feel my wisdom teeth coming in right in the back of my mouth right now. Good luck with dealing with the pain. It shouldn't be too bad though.

ok. my mom said she is bringing home jell-o when she gets off work. hopefully it isnt cherry. it tastes like cough medicine. ill make some chicken noodle soop later or maybe tomato soup. hopefully ordering my powerbook today will make me feel a bit better.
