Funny story.

I went over to my buddies house a while ago, and we started talking about the 360 xbox coming out. He stopped me in mid sentence, and told me how he was getting 3 free 360 xbox's

My friend doesn't know that I do a lot of these free sites, so I sat back and listened to how he was getting these.

He said he clicked on some link for a free 360 xbox (gratis, I think) and it told him to do an offer so he did BMG or something, and then it said to do another, so he did another. He ended up doing 3 offers on 1 site, thinking that he would get 3 360's...

I didn't even know what to say, I was somewhat embarrassed for my friend, and somewat angry that he wasted 3 offers/refs!

yeah i think i know as well... that site has like 3 pages, and you have to do 1 offer from each page. i didn't have the guts to do it!!! i mean it's 3 offers!!!

There will be an xbox460 by the time you get through with one of those sites -)

someone told me that their goal is for ps3 to last for 10 years... it's a pretty powerful machine but i wouldn't give it 10 years, can ne1 confirm that?

I don't think anything could last 10 years, I mean, when stuff like n64 came out it seemed super advanced, but it became obsolete in just a couple years. The same would probably happen to the ps3. It might just happen a little slower.

doubt it, they would need something new to compete with next gen systems. System generations dont last more than 5 or 6 years.

in 5-6 years we could have a somewhat functional virtual reality headset and/or body suit available cheao to the public

every now and then there are some cool specials on tv showing the cool new VR gadgets that are being developed

there's no way anything will last 10 years, unless all the companies make a pact not to MAKE any more systems, but why would they do that if they sell millions every time?

of course they lost money on selling systems and make it back with games, so that could actually work

Companies actually make products that don't last long becuase then they know they will have to buy another one to replace it later one, can't remember what that is called but whatever

i doubt it. and even if they will release em, they won't be in any way connected to gaming, or available to the public, at least not for a decent price.

Yeah it wouldn't work and i don't think they'd want it to last ten years, then they can't make a new one and charge more for it.

Yeah, I told him that he wouldn't get anything, and that I could have made him about $50 for doing those two offers for someone.

Well, I'll be happy with my PS2 until Xbox 360 or PS3 drops price a couple times... I learned my lesson when I bought the PS2 for $299, then 6 months later, it becomes $199, 6 months after, they go to $149, and about 6 months later, they make it a slim PS2 with Network Adapter included for still $149. My old large one feels pretty crappy right about now.

I think the ps3 could easily last at least 7-8 years though im not sure about 10.... Im guessing its gonna cost like 500$ so it better last for a long time P

i want a ps3 but i do not think the games will be as good as xbox360. im sure it will be better than that xbox live crap. you shouldnt have to pay for playing online and shouldnt be able to be kicked off if you get bad feedback. the only advantage of xbox live is that its broadband only. the graphics on the ps3 will blow the 360 away but 360 will have more support probably.

im sure there would be a huge market for the re-release systems, especially if you could buy packs of games for like 20$
