I know it is just like a normal check, but have you guys ever cashed one? I myself didn't cash a check for a long time. I forgot what kind of ID you need and stuff. Do you have to be over 18 to cash a check and for ID can a student ID be enough? Thanks.

It probably depends on your bank, but a drivers license is usually what they require, although I would imagine your social security card would do the trick too. Good luck w/ the student ID though b/c most of those I could make myself and put any name I wanted to w/ any picture.

Also...you could just sign the check over to someone else and have them cash it.

Depositing dosent take much ID if any, you probably only need to know your account number. To withdraw it takes ID though.

yeah i just deposited a check for my mom.. all i needed was a deposit slip with her account number on it

Yeah, I am never IDed to withdraw or deposit. I've even had a few checks that explicitly said on the back that an ID was needed to deposit and they still never asked when I deposited it.
