I truly don't understand what's the point of an iPod dock. You can charge from it, connect it to your computer, and can line out to your sound system.
Um, can't you do all that without the dock? All I see that's any different is the line out, but there's the headphone jack on the top for that, right? Or is it just more convenient to have it coming out of the back instead of the head?

they try to make as many ipod accessories as possible and people buy em. Why they exist I dont know but guess theres a market for them. Just like the guy who started the ipod mixer. Makes no sense but ipods are so hot right now all companies are trying to make money off of the surge.

well the dock is cool because say you are connecting your ipod to your stereo you can have it charging and sending out signal and it looks neat and uncluttered

ipod docks suck who cares if it looks cluttered wooo, i just have mine charging with my charger and have my iMonsster hookd up to it to my stereo.

Does the ipod even charge and play at the same time without the dock? I know it can't be connected to your computer and play at the same time.

The dock came with my 60gb photo... but I like it because it's much easier to connect than dealing with cables, and it helps it avoid scratches from sitting flat, and it looks nicer.
