First of all, wrong forum. This belongs in off-topic.
There are quite a few offers out there, but you do run out of free or cheap trials. That is why a lot of people prefer to just pay for refs.

I've completed 31 different offers and received credit for them, probably another 10 that I never received credit for or credit got revoked, and I still have offers I can do that don't suck.

You can buy a simon gift card at a simon mall (check simongiftcard.com to find your nearest simon mall). They work for all offers and you can check the balance online any time.

Mines from 1stbank. I think you can get them from 7-11 too though.

The activation fee is 1.50, you can't add money to it though. When you want more money on it you simply have to buy a new one.

The fees for the simon cards are a lot less than other ones too. It's 6 months before you get any monthly fee. My GF just got one for her birthday.
