Probably all the Gunz N' Roses albums...

I listen to all sort of shit and usually don't like listening to a certain band too often, but I could listen to them and Pearl Jam forever. I just don't have a Pearl Jam cd. I just have mixes of their songs in a Pearl Jam folder...

Lets just say the other stuff is good and definitely worth checking out. Though there is probably a reason none of the bands really exist anymore.

They're Only Chasing Safety and The White Stripes mentioned in a top CDs thread? That's........unexpected, and I'll leave it at that besides saying I disagree.

1. Dream Theater - Live at the Budokan
2. Tool - Lateralus
3. The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine
4. Deftones - The White Pony
5. Metallica - Master of Puppets
6. Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
7. Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
8. The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium
9. Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
10. Dream Theater - Train of Thought

Likewise, I can only get it down to about 10. That's in no particular order, btw.

Oh, and to who asked about Bright Eyes, BE is of course indie/folk rock. Desapericidos or however the fuck you spell it, on the other hand, is actually more straight up rock. More aggressive and electric-guitar driven with a full band.

Since Wood's being an asshole both on the forum and over AIM, here's why I THINK (READ OPINION) Nirvana shouldn't be in the top5
Their lyrics aren't exceptional. Nothing special at all.
Cobain admitted that he's not a good guitarist. He gets the job done, true, but he's not a great guitarist. Novoselic is decent and Grohl is really the only truely talented member musically of the group. Admittedly, Cobain has a decent voice.
Really the only thing they have to claim is their influence and kind of ushering the age of grunge in. In my eyes, that doesn't deserve recognition. Obviously Wood thinks differently.
So what does this make? A band that's good but not really great, and certainly not deserving of being a "top" list.

Also I may be immature and a dick and a thread flamer in his eyes, but the pot shouldn't call the kettle black. Thanks for the assurance that mods here are mature...
Watch me get banned for that opinion even though I'm a respectable member of the forums and trading community....

First of all. I'm not going to ban you for disagreeing with me.
So please, drop the martyr routine you whiney little gimp.

ALL I WANTED TO KNOW IS WHY YOU DISAGREE...
I didnt realize that was condecending or even flame-able...

Here's our entire AIM convo.
I'll let you guys decide if the questions I asked, and the information I tried to extract was wrong or improper...

Its woodie yo
Auto response from StLben15 omg wtf

Its woodie u dont like nirvana?!
StLben15 no
StLben15 not at all
StLben15 i'm not into the grunge thing at all
StLben15 i hate pearl jam even more
StLben15 in fact, i LOATHE pearl jam
StLben15 soundgarden's all right though
StLben15 i'm more of a hardcore or progressive rock music type
Its woodie i dont like PJ either...
Its woodie but why Laugh?
Its woodie am i missing something? or is that just your ignorance peeking through?
StLben15 it's a laughable concept to me that nevermind should even be considered for the top 5 albums
Its woodie ignorance, check.
StLben15 why do you have to flame me? in the thread and here
StLben15 by implying that i'm stupid or ignorant?
Its woodie i was making sure i wasnt missing something
StLben15 none of them were technical masters of their respective instruments, cobain's lyrics weren't too intellectually challenging
Its woodie if u cant stand a little prodding, then maybe the internet isnt for you kid
Its woodie its the vocals.
StLben15 no, i can stand prodding, i can't stand assholes like you that have to back up their argument with aggression....
Its woodie Agression?
StLben15 do you want me to start counting how many times you've implied or explicitly said that i'm a moron, ignorant, etc?
Its woodie I asked if you had a reason to laugh. or if it was just flat out ignorance
StLben15 because of my OPINION?
StLben15 and then you just said it was ignorance
StLben15 "ignorance, check"
Its woodie StLben15 it's a laughable concept to me that nevermind should even be considered for the top 5 albums
Its woodie ignorance, check.
Its woodie i asked for a reason
Its woodie u said it was laughable, but no reason
StLben15 i gave you one
Its woodie after i said check
StLben15 none of them were technical masters of their respective instruments, cobain's lyrics weren't too intellectually challenging
Its woodie before != after
StLben15 give me some fucking time to elaborate
StLben15 i didn't know i had to contain all my argument in one message
StLben15 jesus fucking christ
Its woodie It's alright man.
Its woodie Just breath
Its woodie Woooossssaaaaaa
StLben15 it's alright man, just be a condescending prick
StLben15 oh wait, you've got that down pat already
Its woodie ;-)
Its woodie I expressed my opinion. and your response was "Umm...laugh?"
Its woodie Avoid being a hypocrit, its not too becomming
StLben15 being a hypocrit is expressing my opinion (it was implied through that response) that i don't think it's a top5?
StLben15 wow......well
StLben15 ok
StLben15 i guess i am an asshole....
Its woodie Umm...Laugh
StLben15 lol
Its woodie thats not an opinion
Its woodie thats trying to mock me
StLben15 it's an opinion because of the implication
StLben15 read between the proverbial lines
Its woodie Could you have just done what everyone else did, and not replied at all?
Its woodie Instead, you took it a step further and tried to make something out of it.
Its woodie Which is fine, I dont mind. Just expect a response like the one you got
StLben15 so discussion is bad?
Its woodie Discussion is great
Its woodie "Um...Laugh" isnt discussion
Its woodie unless of course grunts and giggles is how you communicate
Its woodie you see where this is going?
StLben15 ????
StLben15 why is ti all me?
StLben15 why don't YOU describe why you think it's the top
Its woodie I dont have too.
StLben15 i'm making a post righ tnow saying why i don't think it is
StLben15 fine, dont' shut the hell up
StLben15 i'm discussing
Its woodie By all means...
Its woodie Discuss away.
StLben15 sorry my post wasn't enlightening for you
Its woodie Thats what the forum is for
Its woodie Not threadcrapping other peoples posts
Its woodie Was it enlightening enough for anyone? Doubtful...
StLben15 that was sarcasm, genius
Its woodie You are proving me right then.
Its woodie Your post served absolutely no purpose
Its woodie other than laugh at my response
StLben15 i was trying to provoke you to explain why you thought the album deserved that recognition, but you know, since discussion is good i guess that's why you won't
StLben15 wait......that doesn't follow
Its woodie and this is exactly why i replied with the grunts and giggles
Its woodie why not just say "whatd u like about the album, wood?"
StLben15 because i express myself the way i think
StLben15 i'm not going into some sensitive pc bullshit
StLben15 that's immediately what i thought when i read your post
Its woodie Sensitive PC bullshit?
Its woodie UM...LAUGH
StLben15 so i said that
Its woodie THAT WAS YOUR RESPONSE
Its woodie jesus christ
StLben15 that's immediately what i thought when i read your post
so i said that
StLben15 too hard to understand?
StLben15 i say what i think
Its woodie You post everything you think? Not much going on upstairs eh?
StLben15 lol
StLben15 right
Its woodie And what happened too StLben15 i was trying to provoke you to explain why you thought the album deserved that recognition
Its woodie You sure you are 19 ?
StLben15 i thought that post would have done that
StLben15 lol
StLben15 flame me all you want, provoke me, i don't care
StLben15 you don't nkow me at all
StLben15 you can't honestly make that judgement or assumption
Its woodie So in this entire AIM convo you've supplied more then 3 reasons for posting that.
StLben15 that i act my age
StLben15 or i'm mature
Its woodie Just pick one and stick with it kid
StLben15 you can't tell that through a forum
StLben15 so all 3 reasons can't be existant at the same time?
StLben15 ok.....
StLben15 i wish i saw the world in black and white too.....
Its woodie "Uhm...okay"
StLben15 OH SEE, I CAN MAKE ASSUMPTIONS TOO
Its woodie laugh
Its woodie give me a break
Its woodie u posted that to be a dick
Its woodie plain and simple
StLben15 no
StLben15 i didn't
Its woodie just expect a flame every time u strike a match
StLben15 i'm not a dick
Its woodie fucking nitwit.

Umm, the way you were talking to me was pretty goddamn condescending. It's like you're the type of person that would come up to me and demand why my opinion is different, like you have a stick permanently up your ass and have something against the world and why it's different. I feel my response of "umm laugh?" was a lot less severe than how you decided to confront me. Whatever, everything is all just a difference of opinion, and this thread is now just a bunch of bullshit that no one cares about.

And I hate pearl jam because their music is so incredibly boring and unpleasant to the ear. it's the type of music i'd fall asleep too but i'd have nightmares because it's so bad. And I hate the singer's voice.

If this truly was a greatest cds post then nevermind shouldnt be on there (for bens reasons, nirvana wasnt that great), but its basically evolved into a favorite cd's post which is what i kindve meant in making it so i dont see a problem with that.

I'm not a huge REM fan, although I think it's pretty cool they came from athens. They have some good songs and Automatic for the People (Love Weaver D's) and Eponymous were good albums.
