J4320

13-07-2005 21:20:38

I fail to see why people like Napoleon Dynamite. I got bored while I was watching it.

theysayjump

13-07-2005 21:21:56

[quote21bb83e74d="J4320"]I fail to see why people like Napoleon Dynamite. I got bored while I was watching it.[/quote21bb83e74d]

diddo. but i hear its better the second time around. the movie had only 60 minutes of worthwhile footage in it so it seemed like they produced it to leave out parts that normally would have been left out or something. just my opinion.

J4320

13-07-2005 21:23:33

[quotee29d04cd6e="theysayjump"]i think you have to either be a certain age, or be young and have a developed sense of humour to get it. wink[/quotee29d04cd6e]

Well it's not like I didn't get it... It was suppose to be retarded stuff that's so retarded that it makes you laugh.

The only funny part in the whole movie was when that farmer shot the cow in front of all of those kids.

And it's kind of funny when people quote Napolean Dynamite.

theysayjump

13-07-2005 21:26:51

personally i dont think films have to have punchlines and shit to be funny....silence can be funny. a look, a reaction.

give it another watch, all the way through and see if you find it any funnier.....theres a good chance you might.

hehehhehe

I was actually studying abroad in France when I saw it in the theaters. Who knew that fucker would end up bagging monica belucci...

I have the DVD, maybe I have the divx... I'll have to check. If so maybe I can send it somehow so she can see it. Blockbuster online seems to have it too.

theysayjump

13-07-2005 21:39:49

i looked for it on Blockbuster's site but couldnt find the fucker. maybe ill call my local Blockbuster and see if they can get it in for me.

hehehhehe

13-07-2005 21:45:55

Crap I had the page opened but I closed it. Do a search for any movie with Vincent Cassel (the fucker who bagged M. belucci), click on his name, and the movie should come up.

willr91

13-07-2005 21:46:34

I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Godfather trilogy (excluding part 3) yet.

theysayjump

13-07-2005 21:51:00

yeah i think slease mentoned Part 1.....ive yet to see Part 3 but i was told it was shit compared to 1 & 2.....is that true? or is it still worth a watch just to see the whole thing?

willr91

13-07-2005 21:52:55

Part 3 is utter crap. Although if you saw parts 1 and 2 (spectacular movies) it's worth it to watch part 3 so you at least see how it ends.

Napolean Dynomite is great i didnt like it that much the first time but the second time i was hooked. I like how different it was from mainstream films. It very quotable and i love the characters especially Kipp he is great.... I love technology but not as much as you you see

theysayjump

13-07-2005 22:03:28

yeah i also wasnt to keen on it after the 1st watch, but i watched it again a couple of days later and thought it was great.

and like Stroid said, its different from the mainstream shite. theres not constant dialogue, or action or things going on.

the cinematography was beautiful as was Kipp D

drummer_kew_03

14-07-2005 00:54:45

I thought that it had it's moments, but the movie as a whole sucked. I think a lot of the hype was " hey, everyone else thinks it's funny, so do I!"
