I used to be a solid fan, but they (like any other Philly team) have turned into such a dissapointing rollercoaster that I can't take it. Now I support them simply because they're my home team.

That's not new this year. They gave home field advantage to the winner of the All-Star Game last year for sure, and they may have done it two years ago too. I can't really remember that far back ;)

"this one counts" probably ranks as one of my least favorite decisions in sports recently. The all-star game is an exhibition. Home field advantage should go to the team with the best record in baseball at the end of the season. Maybe "make the season count" a little bit.
