I'm going over to China near the end of the month and I'm gonna bring some electronics such as my iPod. The electrical current is 220V over there, what should I buy so that I can charge it there?

I'm also told that CD players, laptops should be already designed to be dual-voltage.

Go to radioshack and ask.

yeah i used to work at Radioshack and you can get a convertor that works in most continents. I belive it cost $34.99 or $39.99 that should do it for you. Also make sure to ask cause they have different ones for different voltage equipment.

hehehhehe

Check your AC adaptors, they'll say if they can be used at 220V (it'll say 100-220V or something similar). You might just need an adapter that just allows you to plug the regular plug into their sockets (no transformer).

If you have a laptop (almost always dual voltage capable) with you, you can charge your ipod though the USB right?

when i went to japan, everything worked, the voltage was a little bit lower though so it took longer and didnt give as much power but it was all good at the end. just go and get a converter
