I hate my computer because its so old, and I thought reading about other people's even older computers would make me feel better lol So, if you have an old sucky computer, post its age and specs.

I got mine almost exactly four years ago. It's got an AMD Athlon 1200 processor, 512MB of RAM (upgraded from 256), a 64MB Geforce2 video card, and an 80GB hard drive (upgraded from 40GB).

Sounds like you got a top of the line computer when you bought it. Mine is relatively new, purchased it last Dec. Laptop running AMD 3000 64bit chip with 512mb ram.

But I did just replace my mothers computer a couple months ago, she had been running a 550mhz Intel Celeron with 160mb of 133mhz ram. It wasn't quite up to doing even internet and word processing at the same time.

Yeah, my computer was pretty sweet when I first got it. And, it only cost $1200 ) I got it from MicroExpress, a small company in California. Their computers were usually ranked pretty high in PC World, not sure if they still are.

AMD Athlon 950mhz - Gateway
256 MB RAM
40 Gig HD
64 MB Radeon 7200 Series

It's the only computer I have and it will be five years old this winter. It came with Windows ME, but I upgraded to Windows XP a couple of years ago. It used to have an ancient huge monitor, but I bought a 17" LCD monitor ($180 after rebate at circuit city).

I think bballp6699, idrinklisterine, and I all deserve new computers. We're all running on dinosaurs and we feel left out when everyone else gets to play new computer games. cry

This is only my second computer, too cry My first one was a Pentium 75mhz with 8MB of RAM, 1MB video RAM, an 850MB hard drive, and a 14.4 kbps modem. Three years after I got it, I upgraded to 16MB of RAM and a 33.6 kbps modem o It was another three years or so before I got this computer. I'll probably get a new computer sometime this year though, so I can catch up with the new computer games 8)

I have an old 486, running at 66 MHz. The original hard drive is something around 300 MB, don't know about the RAM though. Yeah, it's old (1994), but thankfully I don't use it anymore.
