Advanced Placement exams, you take them and can get college credit for them. Not a bad way to get 6 or more hours of credit.
Only one I ever took was 5 years ago when I took Com Sci A... I only got a 4 though, you beat me admin. Nice goin.

My high school didn't offer AP classes. Even the honor students were discouraged from taking any AP exams, because we would fail (all of our teachers told us this).
I graduated 4th in my class, and I never took an AP class or exam. (

When I was in HS I took English, American Gov't, and Advanced Spanish. For most of us, taking the Spanish test would have been a waste of time as our teacher said it is close to impossible, even for our 5 years of study. So I skipped that and got 4's on the other two.

I probably would have taken a few AP classes in HS but the problem was that I just never went to class. I think I attended a total of 25% of my classes in 10th and 11th grades. It took me until 2nd semester of college to start taking school seriously. Always thought HS was a joke and classes just seemed easy to me. I did just enough to get by in HS.

Just a few AP exams could have got you 12-18 credits. Many people use AP exams to enter college as a sophomore without ever going to community college. I wish I had taken more.

AP classes are also usually a lot easier than the college classes. For example, many colleges use calculus as a weeder class, but my high school the calculus teacher curved our grades so almost everyone passed. And then on the AP exam, they give a pretty generous curve as well, so you can pass with something like a 60 or 70%.

Hell no. I enjoyed my 4 years at college and am now wishing I could go back and spend some more time doing all those crazy things I use to do while at college. I just finished working a 60 hour work week and just got a call from my project manager to wake me up early for no apparent reason. Thank you very much Mrs. Manager. What Id give to be in college again. Well not really since I have money right now but stilll college was too easy. No one should be in a rush to get out of college quicker than others. Enjoy all the time you can in college cause once its over its over.

Unless your doing a Math major or a computer Sci major Calculus is useless. And even if those are your majors youll prolly need to take more than just Calc1. So if your just sliding by in a HS class which is curved youll be shell shocked in college taking Calc2. I took Calc 1 in college got an A and was shell shocked in Calc 2. Seemed like 5 times as hard than Calc 1 and I thought Calc1 was challenging. I know of many many people who completely changed their majors due to just having to tak multiple Claculus calsses. Having 1 credit for Calc 1 isnt gonna help much b/c most majors either dont require it or require multiple classes for it. So sliding by in a HS class doesnt really help in the long run. If you plan on taking Calc1 in HS then you should take it seriously and should know exaclty which colleghe you'll be going to and how it relates to the degree your trying to acheive.

That's only valid if you had no job in college and your parents paid for it all. Your whole statement completely bypasses the fact that college classes cost money. The reason you would want to skip a year of college is because it can save you thousands of dollars. Also, many people in college work 30-40 hours ontop of their 12-20 hour classload. So going from that to a standard 40-60 hour week where you are only getting scheduled by 1 person is not that big a deal (and a welcome change for some).

No there are many fuill time students students who work part time jobs and a very few who work full time. Working over 40 hrs a week in combination of 12++ hours of class time plus the amount of work requried out of class is very strenous and difficult. These very few full time students who do put in 40+ hrs of work are usually referred to as Seniors or Graduate students. Full time students who can not pay for college usually acquire student loans and realize tyhat paying it off while in college is not too easy. These students realize that it would be much wiser to take part time jobs (15-20 hrs ) to pay for their own personal expenses and to pay off the loans once they have graduated and can earn a decent sqalary to begin paying it back. But yes I suppose it would be wiser to ffinish college as soon as possible if money is of concern.
