What are the versions of xbox from gratis?

What versions are they sending out? I hope i get a 1.6, Anyone that has gotten one recently know what version xbox they have? Or know if they have xbox's in stock and sending them or if their ordering from vender stores? If they order it from someone else most likey a 1.6 but idk. Anyone know whats up?

load times don't bother me that much...

you should see the san andreas load times on my hd compared to my friends dvd drive. its insane. Instant loading, it makes a huge difference.

I think you can see what version it is on the bottom sticker, and "chip it" means to get a mod chip....mod = modification....It will allow you to read mostly cd-rw's with other applications other than your games, and then that opens a whole new world of things you can do. I have a 160 gb hard drive in my xbox now (134 gb recognized) and I pry have like 15 games just on the hard drive, and I have barely touched the space there is on it. Look around the internet and read if it something you want to do...Doesn't cost too much and the benifets are amazing.

get a mod chip. it will be the best investment you ever make. i got my ps2 modded with a dms3+ and ended up selling it for more than the cost of the ps2 + the chip. throw in a 200gb drive and youll be good to go.

I soft modded the one I got a few weeks ago. Didn't pay attention to what version it is though. I got a crapload of games but haven't had time to play...

if you mod your xbox tho, you cant play on live right?

i would do it if you could still play on live, but since i dont think you can then meh its not worth it. iwanna play some h2 online

It's called xbconnect.....a google search should bring it up quite easily.

I have like the first version xbox...got it as soon as it came out....got the first soderless chip...not a lot of power to hack, but enough to run evox and make a hard drive upgrade.......I'm happy enough w/ that )
