I HIGHLY suggest you all head over to the TabletsforZIP forum to see the discussion taking place...I would seriously reconsider signing up for anything on this site...the guy knows nothing about his own offers he is promoting on top of the fact that I've caught him deleting posts from people in his threads (hiding something?)

This has scam written all over it...choose for yourself, but I wanted to put word out that this just doesn't seem to be on the up and up.

Do you have any solid proof this site isnt a scam?
Yeah i didnt fucking think so. How about just waiting it out
till you get some more information about the site. Having free site owners
in our forums is an asset and they wont be here if all we do is flame them (

How do these sites even get their own forum?

I can't think of a reason Gusto got it's forum here. Shawn got treated like royalty because of the forum and he scammed hard.

Why is even FIG involved in these shady stuff anyway? Is the FIG community just another target audience to be exploited?

Its in the not proven legit section and if you read the rules we clearly state that we dont know the legitimacy of the network. You do these sites at will

The "Not Proven Legit" section and "this is the internet, don't believe everything you read" came up after the Gusto fiasco. Before that Gusto was sitting alongside Offerecentric and Coobro forums.

But, my point is, why is FIG even involved in giving them a forum? If the forum is bought from FIG, then good for FIG but FIG should say it is bought so we can all know that and decide accordingly.

If not, why even the forum?

Just cos other sites that have had their own forum have been scams (or poissible scams), doesnt mean that every single other new site WILL be.

what harm does it do to introduce a new site, check it out for yourself, read up about it, ask questions to the owner and then decide if you wanna do it?

what would you do if you came across this site, and cos they didnt have a forum (here or anywhere else), you had no way to check their legitimacy. so you did the site anyway, they took a shitload of money form you and scammed you.

at least with them having a forum you can read about them and avoid them from the get-go.

I agree with this. Most of these forums are purchased and the current disclaimer to "be careful" is not good enough. They should state outright that they were purchased if they were purchased.

All site or network-specific forums are either for clearly legitimate sites, or provided due to FiPG sponsorship.

I feel that, even if a site is a scam, it's better to have a place to discuss it than to not.

Can you please clarify what [bc2011295b5][ic2011295b5]FiPG sponsorship[/ic2011295b5][/bc2011295b5] is? Is money or donation to FiPG involved?

More power to FiPG if so but I think the FiPG community should at least know that it is so.

Admin

It means that the site has contributed something, financial or otherwise, towards the continued operation of FiPG and its forums. I'm sorry if it sounds vague but that's as specific as I'm going to get.

theysayjump

even if FiPG is paid by owners of sites to host a forum for them, what difference does it make?

if there are other owners who would like a forum, but are refused because they wont pay for it or something, then that would be a bit shit.
