Click on a link with the scroll wheel (only if your mouse scroll is also a button) and it'll open that link in a new tab.

Go up to the tab bar and click on a tab with the scroll wheel and it closes.

I had no idea about these tips til I found an article in LifeHacker. Hope they help.

It'll also copy when you highlight text, and paste with middle-click. Also, if you have a url copied, left and middle click at the same time and it will automatically go to it.

I can't get myself to use it. I've been using IE since I've gotten the internet and I just can't seem to get myself to use firefox. ( Maybe If I delete all my internet explorer shortcuts it would help.

I forgot that the auto copy thing is an extension that you can download. If you've never downloaded extensions before I suggest it. Go here and check em out.
https//addons.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox[]https//addons.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox

I'm using a ton right now.
- Foxy tunes - a media player extension
- Forcast Fox - puts current weather, forcasts, and radar in the bottom bar of firefox
-Auto Copy - The one I mentioned above
-Tabbrowser Prefs - Adds more options to the tabs.
- And a lot more.

Kinda sounds like i'm writing a commercial now. Sorry roll

I highly suggest trying it. I hate change, but I forced myself to try it and now i'll never go back. Make yourself use it for a couple days or a week and you'll say the same.

http//www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showforum=2

they will only work in Firefox though, not mozilla.

one of the reasons i switched from Mozilla to Firefox D

It imports bookmarks. Shortcuts are the links you put on your desktop and in folders linking to URLs.

hold control and press the number of the tab you want.

ie.
Ctrl + 1, Crtl +2, etc.

I found out when I fist used to use firefox. I accidently clicked a link while scrolling with it and it would open up. I hated it though cuz I never really wanted to open that link!

drummer_kew_03

The left and middle click paste made me mad for awhile. I didn't know that it did that and it seemed that it would all of the sudden go to most random sites. I thought I had spyware for awhile.

anyone know of an extension that tells you how many characters you have typed or how many more characters you are allowed to type?

not an extension, but you could type them in word and use the word count and then just paste them into your browser.

yeah true.

I use all those extensions too. I love them, especially the Forescat Fox and Foxy Tunes.

I don't know about an extension for character count. I found a program one time that measured the mileage on your mouse. It was cool but kept making my computer crash.
