Hopefully paying .55 cents for a tracking number will save my ass.
but even still, how can I be liable for that? What happened to the damn sellers protection policy.

Dont know if you did... but it's good practice to only ship to confirmed addresses.

This is why I'm hesistant to sell stuff over $100 on ebay, especially electronics. If you sent to a confirmed address and have a tracking number you are protected though.

Yeah but what are the odds of that? I highly doubt I'm gonna get scammed. As for you wood, that's too bad. I hope everything comes out okay.
They were both confirmed addresses and both has delivery confirmation #'s as well - so hopefully everything will work out.
Only decent thing about paypal is their money market accts

That sucks. But if someone steals someone's account and pays for stuff, the other person needs to get their money back. I hope it works out for you

Try immediately removing funds from your account after you receive them.

I've done that before, and my PayPal went negative ( They wouldn't let me use it until I put enough money in to get it out of the negative range.

I agree that they deserve their money back, but should I be responsible for it?

Exactly. That's why I hate Paypal. They make innocent users pay for their faulty (or non-existant) fraud detection system. I don't know how many transactions I've had through them but I'm still not 'verfied'. When I hit my sending limit, I just opened a new account.

I've never really had a problem with paypal. Back in August my account was stolen and had a ton of fradualent charges and called paypal and they reversed all charges within a week and got everything straightened out.
