Okay, so supposedly starting tomorrow you could spend money and the like with GreenZap. Well the idiots pushed it back to June 30th to "meet the demands of the market". These guys are true morons.

this site is UNDOUBTEDLY a scam.

if you arent convinced yet, check out one of the ways they are trying to convince people they are real...look at the bottom of the greenzap stores page here http//www.greenzap.com/greenzap-storez.asp ...you will see the "Secured by Geotrust" logo

http/" alt=""/img128.echo.cx/img="128/5762/scam4cl.jpg[" alt=""/img111c778083]

you would think this is legit, right?

notice how the image doesnt link anywhere or do anything

now check out http//www.geotrust.com/

notice how a REAL geotrust logo has the "click to verify" and the date on the logo, showing that the site really is a member of geotrust

[img="111c778083]http/" alt=""/img128.echo.cx/img="128/3037/reallogo7qk.jpg[" alt=""/img111c778083]

here is another example

http//www.phoenix-mfg.com/acatalog/free_shipping.html

notice how the link is protected, so you cant even right click on the image...well if you right click on the image on greenzap's homepage, its just a locally saved version of the logo (no link, no protection)

definately a scam

They just got people's contact info right? Did anyone give their bank info or something?

They also got a membership with Business Wire (anyone can use them to do PR/IR) and used those articles to link to Market Watch and Hoover's (article there is just a mirror of Business Wire) to fake credibility. Definitely smells...

If it's not a scam, maybe they're just trying to get as members as they can so they can get more money from VCs.

Im assuming people who upgraded to the Gold account had to give some sort of credit card info. Sucks for them.. I always felt this site was a scam. With ALL the money they'd have to give people for signing up, plus referrals and all, theres no way they could keep their heads up.
