I would choose the Canon also. I prefer camera's that use CompactFlash because they are faster and cheaper. Sony Mem. sticks are ridiculously expensive. I have the Canon A95 and love it. The big advantage to the Kodak is the 10X optical zoom, but Kodak's are shit.

i love my A95 also the only negative side to the A95 is it eats up batteries

This is the seller i bought from on ebay. They also have a website to buy from them directlly. I think I paid around $35 for 12 batteries, cases, and a charger. I would go with 2300mah or higher.

You can't beat the canon quality. I had an A60 for a long time until it was stolen and the features/build quality is just excellent. Although I'd prefer it use SD to keep the size down a bit. The metal casing is really nice.

The Canon is the best.
However, I don't like the Sxxx series. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfect gift for someone who is not into photography - easy to use, and makes (somewhat) good pictures. However, I really miss the features the Axx series has. Go to www.dpreview.com and www.stevesdigicams.com for high-quality reviews of all the cameras.

I would get the Sony with the most value and sell it, then buy the A95. Great camera.

Which Sony camera has the most value? Are you suggesting I get it and sell it?

The T7 rocks. Thought it was weird looking but I saw it in person at Best buy an its really slim and sleek.

if your going to keep it, Canon all the freakin way!

if you're going to sell it, then go for the sony M1.

it takes video i believe, but a good camera shouldnt be able/allowed to take video. thyats not what makes a camera good lol.

I got the Cybershot, and its nice, but the battery lasts less than an hour, and if you dont hold the camera still, it gets really blurry. Just something you have to get used to.

the M1 has video capability.

With a 1gb stick you can record up to a freakin' hour!

What did you think of the picture quality, wood? My girlfriend ordered that one and she's worried she won't get good quality (I got the Sony T7 and I love it).
