So I'm in the market for a new (actually used, but whatever) car. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm looking at a 99 Audi A4 today, it's on my top 5 list of dream cars, so that may work out nicely. Otherwise, looking at turbo Jettas and Passats, Eclipse GSX's, all that kinda stuff. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

What's your price point? Sound like you like foreign cars, are you open to domestics?

GSX's are nice rides, cheap to make fast fast but you will be paying up the ass in repairs..all of the DSMs iv experienced iv seen problems happen. Audi's are pretty nice, my friends got an A4. What about Hatchbacks? Sedan? And yeah, whats your price range..new used?

If only, haha. I'm lookin to spend right around 10k, the Audi books at like 13 but he's only asking 10, so this may be perfect. Otherwise, I'm looking at mostly imports, any body style as long as it has a fairly quick engine and a manual transmission. If something along the lines of an SVT Focus or an SRT-4 comes along, that'd be sweet, but otherwise, I'm not really interested in domestics. The GSX would be a great car, but they are virtually impossible to find, I've seen two so far in my three months of looking, both automatic and thoroughly thrashed. Keep the suggestions coming.

Impreza? Either a nice 2.5RS you could throw a turbo in or a WRX. Sentra SE-R? I heard those have got some nice torque for a inline 6. A SRT-4 or WRX if you got the money, used. Id say what your looking for is a cheap, turbo maybe sedan standard? car. Turbo jettas are nice like Audis inside and out..look into VR6's

You can't go wrong with the Audi, if everything is in good shape. The only downside is that parts are somewhat expensive, but if you're going to pay $10k on that car, that probably won't bother you at all )

Looked at most of those, most are out of my range though, a little too pricey for my budget. I looked at that Audi, it's in pretty good condition (minor things like a windshield chip and stuff), but it was in a wreck. According to the carfax report, it had some frame damage, but has a rebuilt title, and looks like it's been thoroughly fixed up. I'm gonna take it to a local dealer and have them check it out, but I'm not quite sure if I want to get the car. Again, suggestions? Anyone dealt with a rebuilt car? Anyway, just lookin for more advice, thanks.
