..........now, being that I got someone else to do an offer for me for flatscreen because I did not want to wait, how long should I give the person who I did the trade with to turn green? In a way, I hope they don't turn green so then they can pay me for the ref I did for them.

Well, it's not there fault that you couldn't wait and decided to get another ref. They should get the normal 15 days so they can ask for credit. If they don't get it after then, then they did something wrong and they should pay you.

that's a good time limit, if they haven't gotten you a green in 3 weeks they should have either done another offer or paid you your money back.
