What are you paying for your adwords, and how much of a discount is that compared to the regular price?

I have like the essential keywords such as ipod, i-pod, free ipod, free i-pod, free ipod mini, etc... and i think the average is about 3 something dollars per click but i'm getting it down to about 10-20 cents a click so its not bad....i got one ref on freeipods.com and two on freephotoipods.com so far...no greens yet though obviously...

the cheapest adwords is only .05 a click, so maybe you're getting ripped?

anyways, nobody clicks on these things, unless you trick them somehow =(

u mean no one clicks on the "free ipod" ones?

if you mean no one clicks on google adword ads in general... i beg to differ... I make about $150 a month as a publisher for them... people click on them more often than any other banners i run... well... except for my porn sites... but porn is totally different than "mainstream" advertising.

Of course the "pros" don't click on them. But all of those inexperienced users see "Free Ipod" and are like "ooh!".
It could possibly work.

I'm just relaying my experience with google adwords.

cheapest isn't 5 cents a click so you're totally wrong on that....i think you're getting confused as a publisher...i'm paying to have my ads posted on google adwords....if you get a popular keyword you can pay up to like 10 bucks a click lol....I got a shitload of yellows and what not and just about completed freeipods.com and freeipodshuffle.com and the gratis xbox site....i'm hoping that all the greens are legit and no one doubled up and crap lol....still running adwords focusing them on other places now

How many greens have you gotten from adword. I am sure you could email the yellows to offer assitance to them, right?

Greg, please read Gratis' TOS. Assistance, or walking-through, is against the rules.

I tried adwords and got a bunch of yellows. I think maybe I should have just linked to gratis' site but instead sent it to a minisite I had made that was explaining everything.

Walking through on the offers, yes, but explaining that they need to do an offer and that then they need other people to do offers isn't against the TOS.

gregcool

Exactly, I would just explain to them that they need to do an offer, and ask if they planned on doing one.

And [b1e02d3b5f1] this [/b1e02d3b5f1] can be considered spamming. I wouldn't recommend contacting the yellows to "remind" them to do an offer or anything of that sort. This is embarassing, and people will be irritated that someone else is using their address without their approval.
