iPod is fucked up.. help?

Shit.. so at college I was goign to play my iPod but like my new Coldplay X&Y CD, it won't play. And it played fine this morning.

Here's what it does
Only on Coldplay X&Y it goes through each track like i'm pressing the [b5640c1c5ac]>>|[/b5640c1c5ac] button... it won't play at all..

and on ALL of my audiobooks, it'll show the Now Playing thing for like one second before it puts me back to the main menu (you know like it does when an Album finishes playing and you don't have it on Repeat..)

any suggestions?

Did you try rebooting? Sometimes that can clear it up. If that doesn't work, I'd try a factory restore from your computer...it's a pain, but that may be your only way out...

I've already done 2 factory restores on my iPod. lol

well problem I keep all my songs only on my iPod.. not anywhere else..

also i did soft resets.. is that the same as a boot?

Yeah, those are the same. Aren't there programs out there that'll let you basically put those songs back into the computer? That way you can factory restore.

eh. i just re-uploaded the problem CD (it was still on my computer) and its fine.. i was more concerned about the audiobooks since the iPod automatically saves where you are... but too bad it got reset to 000 already so im just re-uploading those too.

If you want a program to put songs from your ipod back onto your computer just google podutil thats the one i use. You can just have a friend over click a button and it automatically imports your songs into your itunes library.

podutil doesn't work for me.. i have ephPod and i backedup all my songs so yea

This happens to me sometimes. Especially with lossless tracks encoded with older iTunes versions. Re-ripping usually solves it.
